Die Türme sind mit je einem schrägrechtsgelehnten Schild belegt: Vorn neunmal schwarz-golden geteilt und mit grünem Rautenkranz belegt, in der Mitte in Rot ein doppelschwänziger, bezungter, goldbekrönter silberner Löwe, hinten in Silber ein rotbewehrter, goldbekrönter schwarzer Adler. |

Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 15, 1992.
The arms are based on the medieval seals of the city (known since the late 13th century), which already showed a walled city with a crown. The crown probably indicates that the city was a city in the Kingdom of Bohemia and appeared for the first time in a seal from 1643. The three small shields indicate the former rulers of the city; Sachsen, Bohemia and Prussia. This combination with the three shields was first used in the middle of the 19th century.
