Wapen: Skuinskruislings, silwer en blou, in die skildhoof 'n weegskaal rustend op die punt van 'n regopgeplaaste swaard, alles blou; regs drie goue ringsgewys inmekaargevlegte visse, links 'n goue vlies en in die skildvoet, op 'n golwende blou skildvoet belaai met 'n golwende silwer dwarsbalk, 'n Portugese karveel met gespanne seile, van natuurlike kleur.
Helmteken: Voor 'n blou driehoekige rysende grond, 'n silwer vuurtoring met goue strale.
Wrong en Dekklede: Blou en silwer.

Arms: Per saltire Argent and Azure, in chief a balance resting on the point of a sword erect, Azure; dexter three fish interlaced in annulet Or, sinister a golden fleece and in base, on a base wavy Azure charged with a bar wavy Argent, a Portuguese caravel, sails set, proper.
Crest: In front of a triangular mount Azure, a lighthouse Argent with rays issuant Or.
Wreath and mantling: Azure and Argent

Wapen: Skuins gevierendeel, in die skildvoet trapvormig, blou en goud, in die skildhoof twee silwer paalsgewys geplaaste swemmende walvisse, en in die skildvoet 'n dwarsbalnk, ook van silwer, geknobbel van twee Karoo-gewelhuisies, die deur van elk blou en die onderkant golwend; regs 'n groen aalwyn, rooi geblom, en links 'n 15de-eeuse Portugese karveel van natuurlike kleur, op die seil belaai met 'n rooi breedarmige kruis.
Helmteken: Uitkomend uit 'n swart muurkroon belaai met 'n silwer dwarsbalk daarop 'n ander van blou, in die middel daaroorheen 'n omgekeerde rooi skulp, 'n silwer vuurtoring met goue strale.
Dekklede: Blou en goud.

Arms: Per saltire, in base grady, Azure and Or, in chief two whales naiant in pale and in base a fess nowy of two Karoo gable houses, Argent, the doors Azure, the lower edge wavy; dexter an aloe Vert flowered Gules and sinister a 15th century Portugese caravelle proper, the sail charged with a cross paty, Gules.
Crest: Issuant from a mural crown Sable charged with a bar Argent, thereupon another Azure, surmounted in the centre of an escallop inverted Gules, a lighthouse Argent with rays issuant Or.
Mantling: Azure and Gules.
Motto: JURE ET JUSTITIA VALEMUS

Coat of arms (crest) of Mossel Bay

The charges on the "arms" are the figure of Justice, a sheep, three interlaced fish, and the figure of Neptune. The three interlaced fish were later incorporated into the badge of the naval minesweeper SAS Mosselbaai.
