Wappen von Sichtigvor/Arms (crest) of Sichtigvor
Official blazon
German In Silber unter einem freischwebenden schwarzen Tatzenkreuz ein zweibeiniger, nach links laufender, umschauender, rotbewehrter grüner Drache.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 22, 1964.

The village was for centuries a possession of the Commandery of the Teutonic Order in Mülheim. Hence the black cross of the Order in the upper part of the arms.

The dragon symbolises the dragon slain by St. George, the patron saint of the local church.

Literature: Belke et al., 1986
