In geteiltem Schild oben ein roter Balken in Gold, belegt mit einem Schwarzen Schwert, unten ein silberner Schrägbalken, belegt mit drei schwarzen Schwalben.
Origin/meaning
The upper half symbolises the court of Gallscheid to which the municipality historically belonged. The sword symbolises the Henkerstein area, where the court took place. The lower half shows the canting swallows of the Wilhelm von Schwalbach family.
