History: Formed at North Luffenham January 5, 1948.

Badge: A Humming Bird pucherans emerald proper (vert, beaked gules) hovering.

Origin/meaning
The Unit trains Helicopter Crews and the Humming Bird is used to indicate the flight of a Helicopter. The Badge was granted in September 1979.
