Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in September 2021.

The three parts of the arms symbolise the villages of Dümmer, Parum and Walsmühlen. The mill wheel refers to Walsmühlen (Mühle=mill), the bell refers to the church in Parum and the lower half shows the Europahaus from Dümmer.

The colours are those of the County Schwerin to which the area historically belonged.
