71ST INFANTRY DIVISION, US ARMY

History: Activated 10 July , under the designation 71st Light Division, Pack Jungle. Organized 15 July 1943 at Camp Carson (Colorado). Re-designated 26 May 1944 as the 71st Infantry Division. Inactivated 11 March 1946 at Camp Kilmer (New Jersey).
