NO 854 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed in 1944 at Naval Air Station Squantum, Massachusetts, USA as a Grumman Avenger equipped Torpedo-bomber-Reconnaissance Squadron for HMS Illustrious in the British Pacific Fleet until December 1945. Reforemd in 1982 from A Flight of No 849 Squadron.

English Blue; fro base wavy barry wavy of four white and blue a sword in pale silver surmounted by a lion passant reguardant winged gold armed and langued red.
