NO 891 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed in 1942 at Royal Naval Air Station Lee-on-Solent as a Fighter Squadron flying Hawker Hurricane. Reformed 1954-1956 at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton (HMS Heron), Somerset with deHavilland Sea Vampire and Sea Venom. Disbanded in 1961.

English White; base three bars wavy blue overall a representation of the Polynesisan God Kon-Tiki red and gold.

Motto: Venamus ut necemus.

Origin/meaning

The Latin Motto translates as "We hunt in order to kill". The Badge was approved on 20 May 1955.
