Origin/meaningThe arms were granted on January 14, 1994. The arms show in the right half a milk churn, a canting element (Butte) for the Lords of Buttlar. This family played a major role in the local history. The village historically was part of the State of Fulda and in the 18th century Constantin von Buttlar was Prince-Bishop of Fulda. The left half shows the quartered shield of the Lords of Boyneburg, another influential local family. Contact and SupportPartners: Your logo here ?
