Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on February 11, 1980.

The wall (Mauer) is a canting element. The mountain symbolises the village of Hausen, which is situated in the mountains. The pine symbolises the village of Steinholz, situated in a forest. The sword is a general symbol for the many families that owned parts of the municipality.

The arms replaced older arms, of which I have no information nor image. Any information is welcome !
