CHOISY

Département : Haute-Savoie

Blason de Choisy/Arms (crest) of Choisy
Official blazon
French D'azur à la fasce d'or, accompagnée de deux tours du même en chef, et d'un renard d'argent en pointe.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on December 7, 1990.

The arms are based on the arms of the De Reydet family, former lords of the village. The crescent in the base of the family arms was replaced by a fox, as a canting symbol for the Vulpillère castle in the municipality (vulpes is Latin for fox).
