Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms show two shells and a decorated brooch. The two shells are the symbol of the local patron saint, St. James the Elder. The brooch was found in the village and dates from pre-Germanic settlements in the area, indicating that the region has been inhabited for a very long time.
