I rött en humlekvist med ax och två blad, allt av guld.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1977.
The arms show a branch of hops, taken from the historical seal of the Tierp hundred.
The arms replaced the older arms of Tierp town, which were granted on June 10, 1954.
These arms are also derived from the old seal. See also Tierp rural municipality.
