Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on January 21, 1985.
The arms show the dragon, symbol of St. George, the patron saint of the town. The dragon was also part of the arms of Gottfried Wilhelm, Count of Theinstein-Tattenbach, who founded the Chapel in Eberschwang, which was later moved to St. Georgen am Fillmannsbach.
