LEIMEN

State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Südwestpfalz
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Rodalben

Wappen von Leimen (Pfalz)/Arms (crest) of Leimen (Pfalz)
Official blazon
German In Gold ein roter Schrägbalken, belegt mit einem goldenen Krummstab, beseitet von je einem halben gebrochenen roten Rad, beide schräglinks belegt mit einem blauen Schwert, das von dem roten Schrägbalken überdeckt wird.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 19, 1961.

The village historically belonged to the Amt Gräfenstein of the Duchy of Baden. The arms thus show the bend of Baden with the broken wheel for St. Catherine, the local patron saint, and a crosier for the Herbitzheim Abbey, which had some possessions in the village.
