KLIEVE

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Soest (until 1972 Lippstadt)
Amt : Amt Anröchte
Incorporated into : 1975 Anröchte

Wappen von Klieve/Arms (crest) of Klieve
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 4, 1948.

The arms symbolise the long history of the sandstone (dolomite) quarries in the village. The hammer is a typical type of tool used, whereas the squares resemble the quarry and the green colour of the stone.
