Escudo de ouro, pinheiro arrancado de verde, frutado do mesmo, entre duas armações de moinho de negro, cordoadas do mesmo e vestidas de azul; em chefe, espada de lâmina flamejante de vermelho, com punho e copos de negro, posta em faixa. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro: “ S. MIGUEL DO PINHEIRO “.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 17, 2001.
The arms show a canting sword (for Saint Miguel) and pine tree (Pinheiro). The two wind-mill blades are a symbol for the formely many windmills in the area, those that are left are now local monuments.
