Escudo de negro, castelo de ouro lavrado do campo, aberto e iluminado de vermelho, entre duas chaves com os palhetões virados para o chefe, a da dextra de ouro e a da sinistra de prata e volvida; em chefe e em ponta duas faixetas ondadas de prata e azul de três tiras. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas : “ CASTELO DE PENALVA “.
