Origin/meaning
The bow in the arms is taken from the arms of the 19th century Graf Arco-Zinneberg, who lived in the municipality and had the church in Unterstein built. The lower half shows two tools used in woodcarving, an important traditional handicraft in the area.
Literature: Information provided by the Schönau am Königssee council.
