Punaisessa kentässä hopeinen vasensäde.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 20, 1969.

The arms refer to the shape of the municipality. The municipality was formed after the Paris treaty from 1947 where most of the former municipality was ceded to Russia, and only a small, pointed-shaped part became part of Finland.
