State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Straubing-Bogen (until 1973 Straubing)
Additions : 1978 Irlbach (until 1983), Paitzkofen, Schambach
Official blazon
(de) In Rot ein silberner Schrägbalken, überdeckt von einer silbernen Kirche mit Spitzturm.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 8, 1977.
The arms are canting, the name means road-church and this is symbolised by the silver bend (for the road from Regensburg to Passau) and an image of the local church.
