Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 26, 1927, but the supporter is rarely used.

The arms were devised in 1705 when the Bishops of Worms came into possession of the village along the Rhine river. The upper part shows the key and crosses taken from the arms of the diocese and State of Worms. The lower part symbolises the fisheries in the Rhine. As a supporter St. Magdalena was used. She is the patron saint of the village and was also used on the older seals of the village.
