BRNO-BOHUNICE
Province: Jihomoravský Kraj
District (Okres) : Brno-město
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The key in the upper part is the key of St. Peter, as from 1376 -1848 the village was a possession of the Chapter of St. Peter in Brno.
The oldest known seal dates from 1617 and shows already in the upper part a key and in the lower half shows a brunch of grapes with two leaves, symbol for the viticulture in the area. The colours were officially described in 1991.
