Official blazon

An Eagle with outstreched wing and looking to its left, and with a wreath round it neck, standing on a tablet inscribed "Waterloo"; below the Eagle a scroll inscribed "Royal Scots Greys" The Eagle and tablet in silver plate and the title scroll in gilt or gilding metal. Cloth backing to badges, drak blue.

Origin/meaning

The French Imperial Eagle symbolises the one captured by the Regiment at the Battle of Waterloo 1815.
