THE ROYAL INNISKILLING FUSILIERS, BRITISH ARMY
History: Raised in 1690 as Tiffin's Regiment (27th foot in 1751) and in 1854 as the 3rd Madras European Infantry (in 1861 redesignated 108th (Madras Infantry) Regiment). In 1881 these two Regiments become the 1st and 2nd Battalions The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. In 1968 amalagamated with The Royal Ulster Rifles, British Army and The Royal Irish Fusiliers (Princess Victoria's), British Army to form The Royal Irish Rangers (27th (Inniskilling) 83rd and 87th), British Army.
