Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 4, 1964.

The cross in the upper part is most likely derived from the arms of the State of Speyer, to which the village historically belonged. This cross appeared on the oldest known seal of the village, known from 1737. The second seal, known from 1751, showed already the above composition, with a green circle (Scheibe=disc) in the lower half. The image of this seal was use din 1964 for the design of the arms, whereby the green colour was chosen arbitrarily.
