Origin/meaning
The arms were designed in 1903 by the State Archives and adopted in 1904 by the municipality.
The cloudy bordure is taken from the arms of the Princes of Fürstenberg, to whom the area historically belonged. The wavy bend (Bach, stream, brook) is a canting element. The roses are taken from the arms of Lords of Almshofen, who ruled the area for the Princes of Fürstenberg from 1465-1527.
