Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in April 2022.
The red point is a canting element, Balme means cave. The wavy bar refers to the Furans river in the municipality. The ermine lion comes from the coat of arms of the Bugey region, the grape indicates that is a wine-growing region. The crosier is the attribute of Saint Claude, the local patron saint.
