Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 11th July 1990.

The grill and the palms are the attributes of the martyr St. Lawrence, the local patron saint. The two roses are a traditional sign, and probably are an allusion to the name Savall (from Catalan "sa vall", the valley).
