Vilallongat.jpg

Official blazon

Escut caironat: d'or, un castell obert d'atzur acompanyat a la punta d'una faixa ondada d'argent ribetada d'atzur. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 17th August 1993.

The village dates back to the 12th century, and belonged to the castle of El Catllar (shown on the arms), inside the municipality. The wavy bar symbolizes the river Ter, that flows through the village.
