STEINBACH AM ZIEBERG

State : Oberösterreich
District : Kirchdorf an der Krems

Steinbaz.jpg

Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on December 21, 1992.

The S-shaped valley is a canting element, and at the same time it refers to the Scharnstein Estate, to which the village historically belonged. The gentian flower is a typical plant for the high mountains in the area. The wavy bar in the base is a cantin element (Bach=brook, stream).

Literature : Baumert, H.E. : Oberösterreichische Gemeindewappen, Linz, 1996.
