Origin/meaning

Teal blue and white are the colours associated with former Army Security Agency Battalions. The Pyrotechnic projectors allude to the signal and reconnaissance missions of the Unit. The Four-pointed star refers to the forunners World War II Campaigns and to the Intelligence, Reconnaissance, commounication and Signal vital functions of the Battalions. The Saltire symbolise the Southern States making up the Third Army Area, the former location of the Battalion. The Tower and Fleur-de-lis symbolises World War II Service in Europe. The Griffins symbolises Vigilance.
