On a shield argent a roundle azure, charged with a sphere of the field, land areas sable edged or; a demi wing superimposed over the dexter aera of the sphere of the first, highlighted or. Approved 9 May 1956.
Origin/meaning
A similar emblem (without the Shield) was on 20 January 1945 approved for the 314th Bombardment Wing. The Wing was then charged with four red aerial bombs. And the Motto Destructio ab alto = Descruction from above was used.
