Arms (crest) of Adelange

Official blason

Coupé d'or à une croix de gueules, au franc-quartier d'argent au lion de sable, armé et lampassé de gueules et couronné d’or, et de gueule au chien arrêté d'argent.

Origin/meaning

The upper half shows the arms of the Haraucourt family, former Marquises of Faulquemont, to which Adelange belonged. The base shows a dog, symbol of the local ptron saint, St. Rochus.
