Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 11, 1995.

The village of Alins is the centre of the Vall Ferrera; this valley is symbolized under the black bear, a traditional sign of this village; in fact, you could find frequently bears in the forests of the high valleys in the Pyrenees.
