Über rotem Schildfuß, darin ein linkshin gerichtet silbernes Hifthorn mit goldenen Beschlägen und goldener Schnur, gespalten. Vorn in Silber ein rotes Balkenkreuz, hinten von Rot und Silber 15 fach geschacht.

Origin/meaning

The village historically was ruled jointly by the State of Trier (red cross), the Counts of Sponheim (chequered field) and the Counts of Metternich-Beilstein-Winnenburg (horn), which is symbolised by the arms.
