Origin/meaning
The three zebu heads in the first quarter and the corn and rice in the fourth quarter symbolise agriculture and especially the importance of cattle for the area. Ambotondrazaka has been mentioned as the agricultural capital of the country. The second quarter symbolises the Alaotra lake, the third the local rives, which are rich in fish, which is an important aspect of the local economy.
