ARISDORF

Canton : Basel-Landschaft
Additions: 1882 Olsberg

Wappen von Arisdorf/Arms (crest) of Arisdorf

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 7, 1945.

The arms are derived from the arms of the Lords of Bärenfels, and are thus canting (Bär=bear, Fels=rock). The family were Lords of Arisdorf for many centuries and became extinct in 1835.
