BÜCHEL (EIFEL)
State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Cochem-Zell (until 1969 Cochem)
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Ulmen
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 29, 1982.
The seven crosses were seven crosses in the village, which were traditionally visited when someone became seriously ill. They all still exist. The tower is the former windmill (without blades, since 1923 used as a house) and refers to agriculture. The large silver cross refers to St. Mauritius (Moritz) and the chapel in Morschweiler which was devoted to this saint.
