Official blazon

In Blau ein wachsender, silbener Giebel mit zwei neidersächsischen Pferdeköpfen, bei dem im schwarzen Loch eine silberne Eule sitzt. Oben in Blau zu beiden Seiten ein goldenes Herz schwebend.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 27, 1953.

The gable is a canting element, the name is derived from the old word 'bur', meaning house. The owl refers to the Uhlenbrook books, the compiled works of the local author Schulze-Lohof. The hearts symbolise the love for the village.
