English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 4, 1981.

The black lion is taken from the arms of the Diocese of Salzburg, as in medieval times the Bishops of Salzburg had possessions in the area. The silver lion is taken from the arms of the Counts of Lodron, who owned the Penzing estate from 1639-1747.

The colours are those of Bayern. The red sword refers to the former Bavarian higher court in Kling, which existed from the 13th until the end of the 18th century.
