Escut caironat partit: 1r. de gules, una banda d'or carregada d'un cap d'àguila de sable; 2n. losanjat d'or i de gules. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 12, 1983.

The village shows the arms of the Balenyà family (with the eagle head), landlords of the "domus" of Balenyà, a fortified house that was under the jurisdiction of the Centelles family (shown here by the lozengy in gold and red).
