Escudo de prata, faixa ondada de azul e prata de cinco tiras, acompanhada em chefe de uma mitra episcopal de púrpura, realçada de ouro e forrada de vermelho, brocante sobre duas espadas abatidas de púrpura, guarnecidas de ouro e passadas em aspa e, em ponta, de uma roda dentada de vermelho. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro em maiúsculas : “ BARCA - MAIA “.
