Wappen von Belecke/Arms (crest) of Belecke
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 8, 1912 by King Wilhelm II.

The arms show St. Pancratius, the patron saint of the city. The saint already appears in the oldest seal of the city, known since the 14th century.

Wappen von Belecke/Coat of arms (crest) of Belecke

The seal of Belecke from 1401.

All later seals have shown the same image. In the early 18th century the seals were not very clear, and the arms appeared in some rolls of arms as a female torso, instead of the saint.

The arms by Hupp in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925
