Wappen von Bickendorf/Arms (crest) of Bickendorf
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on February 28, 1979.

The Bickendorf estate historically belonged to the Lords of Enscheringen, the last being from the family du Sartz de Vigneul. The family built in the 18th century a strong house, known as the castle, which later became the town hall. This house is symbolised by the chief in the arms.

The lower part shows a lion's head, which is derived from the arms of the oldest Lords of Enscheringen, who used a black lion. The colours are derived from the arms of the Sartz family.
