BIESINGEN

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Schwarzwald-Baar Kreis (until 1973 Donaueschingen)
Incorporated into: 1971 Bad Dürrheim

Wappen von Biesingen/Arms (crest) of Biesingen
Official blazon
German In Silber eine bewurzelte grüne Linde mit schwarzem Stamm.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1960.

Already in 1903 the State Archives proposed arms for the village, which showed a tree and on the tree a small shield with three deer antlers. This proposal was rejected by the municipality and it took until 1960 before the municipality adopted arms.

The tree is based on a 19th century seal of the village, the meaning is not known.
