Origin/meaning

The arms were proposed in 1994 and adopted in 2002.

The lion is taken from the arms of the larst Lords of Boubers, from the Berghes(-Saint-Winoc) family. The estate and village was given to Philippe-Ignace de Berghes in 1702 and the family owned the village until 1792.

The three small shields are taken from the arms of the Boubers family, mentioned in the 14^th century.
