BRIARE-LE-CANAL

Département : Loiret

Coat of arms (crest) of Briare-le-Canal
Official blazon
French De gueules à trois fasces ondées d’argent.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were designed by Robert Louis in 1962.

The arms are adapted from those of the "Compagnie des seigneurs du canal de Loire en Seine" (argent three bars wavy gules), where the three bars wavy symbolised the three rivers Loire, Seine and Loing.
