Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on ??-??-??

The upper part shows a burning candle and a crosier. The candle is the symbol of St. Blasius, the local patron saint. The crosier is a symbol for the different monasteries to which the village historically belonged. The Wiblingen monastery held the lower jurisdiction from 1710, whereas the higher hurisdition was in the hands of the Salem and Heggbach monasteries.

The lower part shows a canting fountain (Brunnen in German) in the colours of the St. Blasien Abbey.
